Privacy Policy

Learning should expand your world—not quietly trade away your privacy. This draft describes the narrow set of information Journey expects to use and the choices that belong to you.

Working draft. Last updated July 14, 2026. This document is written around Journey’s planned product and data flows, but operator details must be completed before launch.

1. Who this policy is for

This Privacy Policy explains how Journey collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the Journey mobile application, website, and related services. In this draft, “Journey,” “we,” and “us” refer to the company that will operate Journey; its legal name and address must be inserted before launch.

2. Information we collect

We aim to collect only what is useful for operating and improving the learning experience. Depending on the features you use, this may include:

  • Account information, such as an Apple-provided identifier, name, or email address when you choose to create an account.
  • Learning activity, such as Journeys opened, lesson progress, answers, saved topics, and completion history.
  • Subscription information, such as product, entitlement, trial, renewal, and transaction status. We do not receive your complete payment-card number from Apple.
  • Device and diagnostics, such as app version, device type, operating system, crash data, approximate region, and performance events.
  • Communications you send us, including support requests and feedback.
  • Website information, such as basic request logs, pages visited, and referral information.

3. How we use information

  • Provide, personalize, and synchronize your learning experience.
  • Remember progress and recommend relevant Journeys.
  • Process subscriptions and confirm access to paid features.
  • Keep Journey reliable, secure, and free from abuse.
  • Understand aggregate product use and improve lessons, design, and performance.
  • Respond to support requests and send important service notices.
  • Comply with law and enforce our Terms.

4. Services that help us operate Journey

Journey may use carefully selected service providers to perform tasks on our behalf. The final production list must be confirmed before this policy is published. Current or planned categories include:

  • Apple for app distribution, Sign in with Apple, and App Store subscriptions.
  • RevenueCat for subscription entitlement and purchase-status management.
  • Cloud hosting and content-delivery providers, such as Cloudflare, for serving the website and application services.
  • Privacy-conscious analytics and crash-diagnostic providers, if enabled, to understand reliability and product use.

5. When we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information with service providers under contract, when you direct us to, as part of a corporate transaction, or when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect people, and secure Journey. We may use or share aggregate or de-identified information that cannot reasonably identify you.

6. Retention and security

We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described here, including to provide your account, meet legal or accounting requirements, resolve disputes, and protect the service. Retention periods may differ by data type. We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no online system can be guaranteed completely secure.

7. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a copy of your personal information, or to object to certain processing. You can manage or cancel an Apple subscription in your App Store account. You may request privacy help through the support channel in the Journey app. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

8. Children

Journey is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us through the in-app support channel so we can investigate and delete it where required.

9. International use

Journey and its providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use recognized safeguards for international transfers and provide additional regional disclosures. The operator’s home jurisdiction and applicable transfer mechanism must be added before launch.

10. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as Journey evolves. If a change is material, we will provide reasonable notice in the app or through another appropriate channel. Questions and privacy requests can be sent through Journey’s in-app support channel. A monitored privacy email and the operator’s legal mailing address must be added before launch.
